Princess Hailee's birthday

Hailee's birthday was quite the event this year. We celebrated all weekend long!

On Friday we went to Chuckie Cheese, ask her to say it sometime, it's really cute.
Hailee most of the rides, and Spencer did too! And who doesn't love cardboard pizza and overpriced everything? We really didn't know what to expect, but we all had a great time
Dustin came and spent the night and Uncle Nathan too! so that Hailee could have a friend all day on her birthday.
She had a princess cake and a princess party with so many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends that she couldn't possible ask for a better day! She definitely suffered from attention deprivation the following day!

This is how I did her hair that day. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm even happier that she let me do it!

I typed this post once before and my internet wasn't working when I was ready to save, so now it's kindof random. Mostly pics!

A funny story...
At the dr. office the MA brought in the scale to weigh Spence, and I asked if I should take his diaper off.
She said no.
Me: so just lay him down here
MA: well try sitting him up if he will
Me: Okay I think he might be able to sit long enough
sure enough he did!
Me: 'Hey little guy, that was pretty good for 4 months'
MA: He's only four months? Oh I thought he was like 12 months or something, that is why I asked if he could sit.

Ha! my little guy can sit up by himself for short periods of time, how bout that!

Happy Fathers Day

First of all, i don't think my kids listen to me...i tried several pictures and could not get one with both of them looking, but hey they are just being themselves right!
Today we celebrate Father's Day and I think my kids have the most wonderful Father ever. He is so good to all of us. He works so hard to make sure we are finacially taken care of-which means I don't have to work and can stay home with my two wonderful kids.
He is so great about coming up with fun things to do with the kids. I often wake up on Saturday morning with nothing planned, only to find Heath packing a cooler and getting the kids ready to go for a bike ride to the park.
Yesterday we went to the Zoo-our pass has been so much fun. I'm not sure who likes the zoo more though-Hailee or Heath. He gets so excited about all the animals, even the bats! It makes for a great time for all.
He loves to wrestle and it is just now starting to pay off. Hailee has hated it up until now. But yesterday she wanted to 'fight' and likes to win, and today she played again! Yay for dad! he was dreading the fact that he'd have to wait until Spencer could wrestle-which probably wouldn't be too long from now the way he's growing!
He is such a great Dad and we all love him!

My dad is also the best Dad in the World. He was always willing to let me tag along to all of his ham radio and explorer scout stuff, even though I wasn't a member. I loved waking up on Sat. morning and watching This Old House with him. I remember before kindergarten I got to go to work with him (or stay at the hospital for awhile) it was so fun to sit at the nurses desk and color- i felt pretty cool. I also remember he would make me Macaroni and Cheese for lunch before I went to Kindergarten-just me and my dad-I was the baby of the family then, man it was good!
Besides, who doesn't love a grandpa that lets you paint his lips blue? oh yeah, and remember that one time I was cutting his hair and buzzed a patch right out of one side-oops! Oh wait, i think that might have happened twice! luv ya dad!

My Father in Law, Reed Hall is the other best Dad in the World. He is always making sure we are taken care of and helping us out whenever he can. He helped us move from Logan to A.F. then to Copperton. He helped us pour our driveway, he helped us find a new car, and the list goes on. He has been such a fun Grandpa-teasing my kids just like their dad does-(now I know where Heath learned all his tricks!) Hailee absolutely loves going to Grandpa's house and taking care of the animals. She knows jsut where to go to look for Grandpa-his back office. She loves feeding the cows and collecting the eggs and is constantly talking about Grandpa's farm.

So thank you to all the wonderful Father's in my life. I hope you have had a Happy Father's Day!

In other news, Spencer has been doing some serious excersizing lately...is that an 8 pack I see?!

Grandparents weekend

Grandma and Grandpa Hall started a tradition last year of having the grandkids for an overnighter jam packed with more activities than you can ever complete in two days time.
Hailee just returned from the second annual grandparents weekend, and she had a wonderful time! Grandma and Grandpa and Hailee couldn't stop talking about all the fun things they did. Here are a few pictures to help you visualize the good time had by all...
Grandpa picking Hailee and Dustin up at Dustin's house. Let the fun begin! Heath took Hailee up to Dustin's house Friday morning and he said that was one of the best car rides in a long time, she was so excited about playing with Dustin, and going to Grandpa's house and swimming-(she really just wanted to wear those tigger and Nemo swim diapers)
I wasn't in attendance (of course) but from what I heard, these are the activities they did (and I'm sure it's not all, and they weren't even able to do everything grandma had planned-those darn nap times!)
*Willow Park Zoo

These two were always so busy looking at the animals they never wanted to smile for the camera!
*Picnic, and the playground. Hailee can't get enough of the swings (from what I hear she's got that grandpa of hers wrapped around her little finger, anytime she asked to swing he couldn't help but say yes!)

*strawberries-Hailee ate all of them at the picnic, except the one on Dustin's plate-none for anyone else!

*Pony cart rides

*Fishing pond with a new pair of socks (we all know Hailee loves her grandma socks!)
spencer even got a new pair of socks-Thanks Grandma!

*Making cookies

*making their own pizzas (this was cancelled due to said nap time)

*SWIMMING-Hailee was so excited to do this, and it looks like she had a great time

*reading stories with Grandpa and Grandma

*Two year old Handprints on the wall

*Naps!

*and I'm sure some more swinging!
This picture was actually taken last week at Dustin's birthday. The other swing was occupied, but they didn't mind sharing!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa and Nathan too, for such a fun weekend!
Mom and Dad had a nice break and didn't realize how much easier it was to just take a 4 month old places. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the Cheesecake Factory-i got the Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and Heath got a chocolate cake-yummy stuff. Then we were able to do some shopping without a two year old! We love her, but it was sure a nice to go shopping without her!

Happy Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I kind of got to sleep in and I didn't have to change the first poopy diaper of the day -that is always nice! I received a card and a present whilst laying in my bed. It was a card that sang the chicken dance-which we taught Hailee, that was very entertaining and well worth the extra $ for a card. My present was Wii Fit. I think I have played it twice since then-which means my Mii is starting to get fat-oops! Part of the problem is that I don't want to play when Hailee is around, because then it always has to be her turn. Well when Hailee isn't around Spencer still is, (that's my excuse anyway!). But I decided Hailee needed a turn, and it turns out she's pretty good at it. -I'd say she's a natural! I have a second video that was jusy not wanting to be downloaded. She is doing push-ups and side-planks...sooo cute!
. She seems to be a really good copy cat. She is often seen following her friends around doing whatever they do. Which ends up being pretty funny when they trip and fall on the ground and she goes over and lays on the ground to be like them. She has also really enjoyed having Taylor at our house and is often copying her-whether Taylor likes it or not. I keep reminding Taylor that Hailee likes her and wants to be like her, that seems to make it all okay.

Hailee has a special way of picking out gifts for Mom. What she really does is pick gifts that she can take control over once Mom has opened them. This has happened several times... Christmas 2008 -Mom gives Hailee Kung Fu Panda January 2009- Hailee watches Kung Fu Panda at least once a day and asks for Po more often than that. Mothers Day-she recieved a flower pen and two candy bars to give to her Mother, she ate all but a bite of each candy bar and is constantly asking to color with the flower pen-if you ask her whose it is, she would say Hailees.

On another note, Spencer has been so demanding of food lately, I feel like I can't keep up with him and give him enough milk. I also feel like I am constantly feeding him and I'm the only one that seems to make him happy...(Maybe because I'm the only one that can feed him?) Anyhow, I decided to try baby cereal- I know he seems young, but I need to try something. So here are the pictures. It seems to be working so far (day 2)-and as you can see he seems to really like it. Shout out To my wonderful husband Heath. Yesterday I left both kiddos with him for the first time-and I was gone for 5 hours. Well Spence needs milk every hour and I didn't pump enough for him, I knew this before I left and left plenty of formula just in case...poor little boy just gagged on it. Well Heath survived and my kids were alive! But today I got a little taste of what life was like for him while I was gone-and apparently what its like almost every time I leave Hailee at home. My kids were AWFUL today-AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I feel bad for saying that but honestly I had to scream because they were getting on my nerves sooo much. Hailee wouldn't stop whining and wanted to play outside-which I let her and she snuck over to Caroline's house. THen Spence is crying and it seems like he never sleeps for more than an hour at a time-sometimes only once maybe twice a day. He always wants to eat-I am going to pull my hair out. So anyway thank you Heath for putting up with our two Wonderful and adorably cute kids yesterday, and for putting up with all three of us today-and making dinner! I Love You Babe!

Spencer's Blessing

Today was Spencer's blessing day and he was such a good boy. No crying or fussing-he did great! It was such a special day and we are grateful for all of our family support. We were so glad to have so many family members come and share this special day with us. We Love all of our family! I also want to thank Spencer's Grandma's. Grandma Hall made his blessing suit and Grandma Gardner made his blanket. As you can see they both turned out so beautiful. Thank You! It's always fun to get together with family. Hailee loves playing with her cousin Dustin and was VERY VERY sad when he had to leave...she was having so much fun. I'm just not sure who was having more fun-the two year olds or the adults? (p.s. make sure the sound is on when you watch)
