Happy 3rd Anniversary

I just wanted to tell my husband (even though he doesn't really read my blog) how much I have loved being married to him. We've had some great times together and I'm lucky to have married such a wonderful man.
He works so hard to provide for our family and does a great job. He love his little Hailee and he is such a great dad to her. (Changing a few more diapers wouldn't hurt, but I can't get greedy!) He is always willing to do whatever he needs to do to make me happy. For our anniversary which was Tuesday, we both decided we didn't need to get each other anything, yet he showed up at my school and brought flowers with him! That is a big deal from him, cause he doesn't do flowers very often at all!
We have had a great 3 years together and I'm looking forward to many many more!
I love you babe!

Striking Resemblance

So who's who?
The top picture is of Makayla (she's now 5), the bottom of Hailee. They are both about the same age when the picture was taken. Heath and I both thought that Hailee looked alot like Savannah (Makayla's sister, who is a month younger than Hailee) when they were both little babies, but now they've kindof grown out of that likeness. BUT we both still agree that Hailee and Makayla look alot alike at this age. Would you agree?

Giddy up horsey

I got these wooden rocking horses when I worked at Kiddie Kandids and they've always been in the basement. Well the other day I was watching a bunch of neighborhood kids, and they usually go exploring when they are here. So they found the horses and we brought them upstairs. Wasn't that an exciting blog!
Actually the fun part about it is that Hailee was so excited to see these horses. She got on one and started rocking back and forth all by herself, it was so cute. She also signs horse now-if you know what to look for. She doesn't do any signs that touch her face or head, but she signs horse and it kindof looks like she is waving bye bye-but I can tell the difference, and I know that she knows the difference.
Anyway, we can be playing with a toy and I'll stop and ask her where her horse is, and she'll look around the room, and then crawl over to it and pull herself up on it.
The other thing she did which I thought was really cute is, she signed bath and then took my hand so she could walk and we walked straight to the bathtub! This little girl used to HATE baths. She would scream every time, especially at Grandma Hall's. Now that she can crawl, she is always crawling into the bathroom and leaning over the tub to reach her toys. She still isn't the kind of kid that splashes and laughs and giggles in the tub, but she is very content to play with her toys and even let me wash her face!

MONKEY FACE!

This past week Hailee has been sticking out her tongue. Whether it is something new she figured out or something she's doing to feel her gums-which still have no teeth, just a canker sore- I just don't know. But I do know that it's a pretty funny face and her dad calls it her monkey face!

Midnight blogging-a look at Hailee growing up!

So Heath was ready for bed at 9:30 tonight because he has to be to work early tomorrow. After laying there for about an hour thinking I was exhausted I finally gave up and decided to check my blog. Then I decided I would add some pictures of Hailee from when she was just a small fry. AND since I haven't figured out how to do slideshows and other creative things I just decided to make one giant blog. So if you don't enjoy it then you should let me know and I'll try never to blog at 11 at night anymore! I however, enjoyed doing it, cuz it gave me the chance to look back at pictures of Hailee and see how much she had grown and changed in the past nine months. Heath said tonight that she's not his little baby anymore. It's amazing how fast they grow and develop. Two weeks ago she could barely crawl, she would just put her feet up (downward dog) then fall and move forward a little at a time doing that. Then her cousin comes to visit and Voila! She learned how to crawl. After one week she finally got the confidence to go on the linoleum and who knows what will come next. She went from only pulling herself up by using our hands to pulling herself up in her crib at 2 a.m. and not being able to get down, and now she can pull herself up on all sorts of things. She signs all sorts of things; fish, dog, diaper, more, bye, -dog is the most recognizable. Although she prefers when the neighbors dog is on the outside of the sliding door and she's on the inside, rather than being licked on the face! She loves being outside and if you are inside she will hold your fingers and walk you down the stairs to the front door.

She has been such a joy to have. I love watching her grow and play and trying different things to make her laugh. I am very much looking forward to staying home with her all the time, and not having to work. Thanks to my husband who is working extra hard to provide for us so that I can stay home. I will really miss teaching but I will love even more that I'm not missing spending time with Hailee.
I hope you enjoy all the cute pictures of my adorable daughter!

This is Hailee right after she was born. She was 5 lbs 4 oz!

This picture was taken close to the end of July. It was the day I had back to school night and she came with to see everyone.

When Hailee was first born she did the I Love You with her hands-on accident I'm sure, so I staged it again for the picture (I'm a professional photographer, I'm supposed to do things like that) but then we sent it to Dad and to Grandma's and Grandpa's to say I Love You!

Aggie Pride!

My friend Kristi took these next few pictures (and about 100 more) when Hailee was just one week old as a gift to us.

Hailee got this matching outfit from one of my students, she later got another outfit that matched the blanket & bear, that she could wear when she was a little bigger. It is one of my favorite pictures because her smile is so dang cute! I just LOVE her dimples!

Dad thought it would be a good idea if Hailee showed some Geneva Rock support at the annual truck rodeo. So we got this idea for a onesie-too bad the Rock doesn't make baby clothes, I think they would be a big hit!

This is the outfit I found for Halloween when she wasn't wearing her costume.
Below is a picture of her and her friends William and Logan on Halloween. Grandma Hall helped us create the perfect costume for our little pickle! Isn't she the sweetest pickle you've ever seen?!

This is Hailee's first bite of cereal-Yum! She was about 5 months old. After that bite she did a lot better. In fact she'll eat pretty much anything you give her. Lucky for me she doesn't spit anything out, so I can pretty much feed her whatever nasty veggies I want and I just have to deal with the nasty face between bites of fruit! I think I'm pretty nice though. I give her one bite of fruit for every two bites of whatever she doesn't like, and she doesn't complain too much!
Some of her favorite foods are: squash, fruit, chocolate, peppermint, cheerios, crackers, oh and paper!

This was Hailee's first Christmas. She slept in longer than anyone-which is very surprising since I am NOT a morning person and she almost always gets up before me. Then she wasn't too interested in anything but the wrapping paper and the toy the Uncle Nathan gave her-a wooden spoon and a metal bowl!

We went to a Jazz game and Hailee got to come with us. It was really loud and at first she was having a great time. Everyone was cheering and she thought it was all for her, she had a perma grin on her face. Then Boozer had a foul shot and everyone says BOOO zer and she got scared. After that I walked her around in the hall where it wasn't so loud. Then a guy who works there gave us some ear plugs cut into small pieces and after that she fell asleep until the last few minutes of the game and she woke up happy again. Oh and the Jazz won that game! We decided we'd wait until she was a little bigger before we take her back to another game, so she's missed a couple good games, but we'll get her back into it next season!

This is her blessing day. Grandma Hall made her dress, and it was soooo gorgeous. What a wonderful day that was. Our house was full of family we had a great time with everyone who came.

Just hangin' out with my dad!

Something fishy

Yesterday Hailee and I met Grandma, Grandpa, Jenn, Jonathan, Emily and Ethan at the Living Planet Aquarium.
Hailee had a lot of fun. Her eyes were wide and curious at each tank. When we first got there I was showing her fish and she was signing dog-but we got her straightened out and a little while later she was signing fish!
She put her hand in the water to feel different things. She started with the starfish but they were at the bottom and she didn't go that far. She did feel a pin cushion sea urchin-or somethinglike that, it was sure pokey!
We sure had alot of fun. Too bad I can't tell you more about the fish we saw, Jon, Emily & Ethan were just too excited to see everything that none of us stopped to read much about the fish.
I only wish I would've remembered my camera!
